Thanks, i did google to find what is causing it but the symptoms is not the same of what is doing to mine, some are reporting they can no longer start the engine or their headlights flashing, or it flickers when engine is running. but mine does not flicker when the engine is running, it flickers when the engine is turned off. and its not all the time, its intermittent. i would say its once
The owner's manual doesn't say the car won't start unless the brake pedal is depressed. Presumably depressing the brake pedal when starting the car may prevent the car moving forwards or backwards if the car is unintentionally left in either D or R.
Of conversant with a Yaris hybrid, but, the petrol cap may have a electric trigger to release it, but I reckon the bonnet does not, it will be mechanical. Without yanking the bonnet release handle, be firm with it. The 12v battery has a main use of lighting up the cars computer, amongst a few other things.
