Eventhough they are the same compressors the systems are different in regards to capacity of Freon gas for example. I remember from the A/C re-fill machine database at Audi that the A4 and S4 have a 650g Freon capacity and the RS4 only 400g of Freon. So in regards to oil the S4 system most likely takes more than the RS4.
Iwent to my dealer to ask, and they said they just put 7.4 qts in an B6 S4. I want to bring Mobile 1. The owner's manual says 9.5 qts. I did the search on the forum and the last number I saw said 10.5 qts. They have a owner's manual supplement out on it, but they want to charge shipping. I just called Audi Customer Service and they said 11.3 qts!
