I have taken the power for my dual band radio direct from the battery - this is best practice. It's easy to route through a big grommet which is on n/side, just below the glovebox and comes out below/behind the battery. The +ve should be connected via a fuse to the buzz bar rail adjecent to the battery +ve terminal.
Since early September, Android Auto will no longer work via USB in my car with my Samsing S9. Prior to then, it was working perfectly.
