It would appear that Canon have withdrawn support for this device and the 1DX MKI. I have tried and old Ipad but it will not download the latest software because of it's IOS version, I have tried a new Ipad and it downloads the latest software but that does not support the 1DX, I have tried with my phone and that does not support the 1DX either.
Downloading the images from the SD cards will be faster than doing it over WiFi. Use Canon Image Gateway.
